PROCUREMENT COSTS OPTIMISATION

As part of our services, we provide comprehensive support to the purchasing departments of manufacturing companies, achieving improvements in their efficiency in all areas related to procurement.

Our scope of activities includes activities aimed at reducing the price of purchased components, implementing modern stock management solutions (JIT, VMI, consignment warehouse, etc.), market research and supplier allocation. We also support ancillary processes such as quality control of deliveries, quality assurance of suppliers and implementation of new components. In the integrated option, we take responsibility for part or all of the Customer’s supply chain, supporting the scope of our activities with transport and warehousing areas.

Services Offered

Reduction of purchase prices

As a company, we are involved in a number of activities leading to a reduction in the price of components purchased by our Customers, relieving them of the need for a highly qualified, expensive and hard-to-find workforce of purchasing specialists. At the same time, we offer a very favourable way of settling the service based on the so-called ‘success fee’, where the Customer pays only if our company achieves a certain level of savings, otherwise no fee is charged.

The main activities we carry out in this area include:

  • Price negotiations with existing suppliers
  • Finding and implementing new suppliers
  • Changing supply markets, including support for the customs process
  • Optimisation of the delivery process to achieve savings
  • Optimisation of technical specifications and quality levels
  • Optimisation of the supply and warehousing process to achieve savings
  • Financial flow analysis
  • Improving cost efficiency

Optimisation of stock management
– VMI / JIT / Consignment

As part of this service, we provide comprehensive optimisation of the Customer company’s stock levels, aimed not only at reducing them, but also at stabilising them, with the aim of eliminating instances of shortages on the supply side.

We specialise in implementing modern solutions in this area, such as:

  • VMI – Vendor Management of Inventory in a Customer’s Warehouse
  • JIT – eliminating or minimising stock levels by integrating supply with real consumption.
  • Consignment warehouse – taking ownership of components in a Customer’s warehouse by the supplier.

Outsourcing of procurement processes

As part of our cooperation, we offer our Customers to let TAS Logistyka take over some or all of the procurement tasks. In practice, this means that some of the activities located in the Customer’s company are physically moved to TAS Logistyka on an outsourced service basis.

Such subcontracting may include:

  • Purchasing activities – purchase order generation, stock control, delivery control, etc.
  • Vendor activities – price/trade negotiations, implementation of new suppliers, creation of contracts, market research, cost optimisation, etc.
  • Quality activities – inbound inspection of components, supplier audits, supplier evaluation, implementation of new components, etc.
  • Implementation activities – implementation of new components or new suppliers.

Market research and valuations

At the Customer’s request, we analyse the Polish market in terms of the possibilities for manufacturing the goods in question. As a rule, the aim of such an analysis is to shift purchases from suppliers outside our country (e.g. China) to Poland.

As part of the service we provide:

  • Analysis of technological options
  • Price analysis
  • Comprehensive analysis of procurement costs (purchase price, transport, warehousing, handling costs, risks, etc.).
  • Time analysis of the transfer
  • Recommendation of supplier selection
  • Supervising the implementation of production at a new supplier

Quality assurance

In view of the significant impact of the quality of purchased components (or, in fact, the lack thereof) on the overall operating costs of companies, TAS Logistyka offers supportive services aimed at eliminating problems in this area. These include:

  • Quality control of deliveries – checking components upon receipt at the Customer’s warehouse.
  • Supplier quality assurance – audits, evaluation, ranking, supplier outbound inspection.
  • Implementation of new components – ensuring required parameters.

Integrated solutions

TAS Logistyka offers its Customers integrated solutions in the area of procurement. They consist of a combination of all procurement activities, supplemented by transport and warehousing services. This relieves the Customer of the burden of supporting processes, allowing them to focus on their core business.
